The Lady & the Spy, a spy thriller-romance-action mash up, unveils the start of modern intelligence with a small network of secret agents called Network Z, the women and the men, that fought to free nations from tyranny and hold democracy as its dearest pursuit.
The story opens on World War II’s final chapter — history’s pages that few know about — and then extends into the Cold War. Once allies, secret wars between superpowers ignite and now are fought on opposite sides in the cocktail rooms, casinos, and verdant jungles of Jamaica’s Pleasure Island. Set in pre-independent Jamaica, the story interweaves the once British colony’s growing independence movement and its desire for its own identity.
